In these unprecedented times, the PADI organization is here to support you and respect you as a valued Member. With diving activity down, many members want to teach and lead diving classes and experiences again, but the opportunities have been few or limited. The economic hardship has had a profound impact on all of us, including PADI and her people.
Demonstrating we are in this together, I’ve authorized a 2021 COVID RELIEFMembership Renewal Plan that provides flexibility and additional options to best help PADI Members through these challenging times.
The 2021 COVID RELIEF Member Renewal options are:
- Option 1: 20% off Auto Renewal when you sign up for auto renewal by 15 November 2020
- Option 2: 20% off One Time Renewal when you renew online by 31 December 2020
- Option 3: Defer 75% of your membership fee to March 2021 when you sign up by 15 November 2020
- 25% due in 2020 and the balance deferred until March 2021
- 2021 Renewal Fee is based on last year’s auto renewal price – with no price increase, no additional fees or interest.
As communicated previously, the other benefits included in the 2021 Membership renewal plan are:
- 21 FREE digital learning products will be issued for every PADI Instructor renewing for 2021, and 19 FREE digital learning products will be issued for every PADI Assistant Instructor and Divemaster renewing for 2021 for your own personal library
- There will be no price increase on PADI training materials or merchandise through at least 1 April 2021
- All 2020 buying levels will be honored for 2021
- A PADI Gear gift voucher will be issued for all PADI Professional members renewed by 31 December 2020
- All existing benefits, services and support you have come to expect as a member of the world’s best diver membership organization will continue
Notably, we will provide an option for members to place their membership on pause until they can get involved with PADI again, so that any currently renewed PADI Member who needs to can temporarily pause active membership and reactivate it in the future.
The formal communication of the above plan will be sent out by your regional office in early October, so please keep an eye out for PADI mail in your inbox.
I know that every member’s story differs across 182 countries, and I assure you the PADI staff also understands this. We all have our own stories as human beings in this pandemic. Although we can’t possibly make everyone happy, we are listening, adapting, and making our best effort to go forward into recovery with the PADI organization together. So please, continue to reach out to your PADI Regional Headquarters Office team to discuss how we can best support you.
The PADI Team have concentrated our efforts to drive recovery and demand for PADI training and diving services. In short, the PADI organization continues to create demand for jobs and focus on getting our professional membership back working. There is strong demand from the consumer public for quality PADI training and certification. PADI consumer outreach will continue to use its strength to drive people directly to you to fulfil their dreams of becoming divers and “earning their PADI.”
Together, we are stronger. It’s my hope that you’ll continue to add your professionalism and enthusiasm as part of the world’s best and most in-demand diver certification across the globe. We have an important mission to fulfil as a community and we need professionals like you to lead the world to seek adventure and save the ocean.
Thank you for your loyalty and support as a PADI Member.
Sincerely,
Drew Richardson
