The new, recently released PADI® Introduction to Open Water Diver eLearning product (Product No. 81035-1) is now available free of charge for PADI Members to access and utilise as a powerful diver acquisition tool.
The PADI Introduction to Open Water Diver eLearning allows potential new divers a chance to interact with the PADI Open Water Diver course prior to purchase. The product is a sample of the full PADI Open Water Diver eLearning course, including the below subsections:
- Open Water Diver Introduction
- Underwater Ambassador
- Breathing Underwater
- Hand Signals
This sample product does not retain progress or provide credit towards Open Water Diver eLearning.
What Languages Is It Available In?
The PADI Introduction to Open Water Diver eLearning is currently available in 22 languages. These include: Arabic, Chinese (Simplified & Traditional), Croatian, Czech, Danish, Dutch, English, Finnish, French, German, Indonesian, Italian, Japanese, Korean, Norwegian, Polish, Portuguese, Russian, Spanish, Thai and Turkish.
How Can PADI Members Access the Product?
The new eLearning product is easily accessible via the PADI Pros Shopping Cart or by calling your Regional Training Consultant.
How Can a Student Use the eLearning Product?
The best experience is to study online, however, if students find themselves without internet they can download content to study offline via the PADI Training app (Apple® or Android
).
Strategies for Utilising the Free Product to Acquire New Divers
The Introduction to Open Water Diver eLearning can be used as a diver acquisition tool to generate leads for marketing and course bookings. By providing this eLearning product free of charge to your potential students, you can obtain contact details of those who have taken an interest in scuba diving and gone to the effort of requesting the sample product.
An example implementation strategy would include:
- Promote the free Introduction to Open Water Diver eLearning product on your website.
- Use online advertising to target individuals who may be interested in scuba diving but are not currently certified with you. The advertisements would link to a landing page on your website with the webform and more information.
- Ask website visitors to complete the web form in order to receive the free product.
- Send an automated email series to these contacts with the product and other inspirational media about scuba diving with your dive centre or resort.
