Michael Janssen, Territory Director
Region: All Western US regions
Michael is a Course Director and has been working at PADI for over 30 years. When he’s not scuba diving or working with PADI Members, he can often be found performing magic as a hobby.
Favorite dive: “Southeast Alaska. It’s the most beautiful cold-water diving I’ve been in, with a vast diversity of marine life.”

Kyle Ingram, Regional Manager
Region: Pacific
Kyle is a Course Director and has been part of the PADI team for ten years, where he values working alongside so many Pacific cultures. Outside of his scuba career, he’s also seen the Grateful Dead in concert over 130 times!
Favorite marine life: Dragon moray eel
Top scuba tip: Don’t skimp on your wetsuit/exposure suit, and replace it as soon as you start feeling cold while underwater.

April McCormack, Regional Training Consultant
Region: Hawaii & Pacific
April is a Master Instructor and has recently joined the PAM team. Having spent 15 years in the dive industry, her claim to underwater fame is discovering two new species of nudibranch.
Favorite dive: “Roca Partida, Revillagigedo Islands (Socorro), Mexico: a 45ft pregnant whale shark named Diana with her 30ft escort. I cried.”
Top scuba tip: Use reef-safe sunscreen, and say no to single-use plastic.

Annie Olszewski, Regional Manager
Region: US West & Alaska
Annie is a Course Director who has been working in the dive industry for nearly 20 years. She has a soft spot for seahorses, and (when she’s not scuba diving or teaching) loves to ride motorcycles during her time off.
Favorite dive: “I love Bonaire, and the adventure of leaping into the water at La Dania’s is only outweighed by the beautiful wall you fly along. The dive ends at Karpata, where you get to enjoy Bonaire’s beautiful shallow-water coral garden and turtles!”

Rocio is a Course Director with nearly 20 years of scuba industry experience, and who dives almost every day. Having joined the PAM team a year ago, she loves supporting so many PADI Members.
Favorite dive: “The House Reef in Raja Ampat—a magical place to sit and watch the marine life in the wildest safari you could ask for.”

Steve is a Course Director and Instructor Examiner. With 35 years’ dive industry experience, he embraces the opportunity for growth at PADI—and also has a talent for carving pumpkins at 100ft deep!
Favorite dive: “Maybe Darwin’s Arch, Galapagos Islands, waiting to watch whale sharks—while keeping the other six species of sharks out of the way so we wouldn’t miss an appearance.”

Lucy Dunbar, Territory Director

Lucy is a Course Director with almost 25 years’ dive industry experience, and nearly ten years at PADI. She’s passionate about helping PADI Members develop and grow (as well as post-dive chocolate milkshakes).
Favorite dive equipment: “My regulator. With a sealed first stage and metal second stage, it is Lucy-proof!”

Rob is a Course Director and Instructor Examiner with nearly 35 years’ experience in the dive industry. When he was 22 years old, he also became the world’s youngest bell saturation diver.

Top scuba tip: Buoyancy and U/W Navigation are the two most important skills you can master to help you develop confidence while diving.

Charles is a Course Director who knew he wanted to be a scuba diver when he was just six years old. Today, he’s got over 15 years’ dive industry experience and loves meeting his fellow Canadian divers.
Favorite dive equipment: “My drysuit. I hate to be cold and I dive all year long, so my drysuits keep me warm and comfy on those long dives.”

Top scuba tip: Be in the moment, and whatever you do, don’t use underwater comms systems; part of the magic is the peaceful sound of bubbles.

Kristina is a Course Director and Instructor Examiner who has been having a blast at PADI for nine years, and twice as long in the wider diving industry. She loves podcasts, but only if they’re played at 1.5x speed!
Favorite dive: “Frederiksted Pier in St. Croix. An epic shallow dive, the columns are covered with so much life—sponges, frogfish, seahorses. The way light filters through makes this a magical dive.”
Top scuba tip: Always respect Mother Nature and all her critters.

Favorite dive: “Cenote Nohoch is an awesome, highly decorated cave. It has multiple passages, and is shallow enough to spend several hours inside on a single dive. You can enjoy a breathtaking view anywhere you look.”
