Visitors to the PADI® website are now able to find conservation events and activities hosted by PADI Members around the world at padi.com/savetheocean, helping to turn passion into purpose for the ocean.

Using the same platform and backend technology as PADI Adventures, the Conservation Activities Locator enables PADI Dive Centers, Resorts and Professionals to quickly and freely list their activities focused on saving the ocean.

The locator is aimed at eco-conscious divers and non-divers and is designed to generate awareness of how PADI operators are standing up for the ocean and protecting the underwater world we love and depend on for survival.

This Earth Day, you can join the growing nation of PADI Mission Hubs around the world hosting conservation events and activities, attracting new divers and growing your business sustainably. Here’s how:

Begin Planning Your Conservation Event or Activity

PADI Dive Centers, Resorts and Professionals have already hosted a huge variety of events and activities aimed at protecting the underwater world. These include Dive Against Debris events, documentary nights, PADI AWARE Courses, fundraising competitions and eco-themed dive trips.

Involve Your Team

Take a moment to gather your staff together and introduce your event or activity idea to them. Get them excited about what’s coming and engage in discussion; they may have additional ideas to add! The more your team is involved with the planning of this event or activity, the more support you will have in making it a success.

List Your Event on the Conservation Activities Locator

Head to padi.com/listnow to get started. There, you will find more information about the tool, including a “How To Guide” and a step-by-step walk-through video. The platform for adding your events or activities is the same as PADI Adventures, so you will log in using your standard Pro Portal credentials. Once logged in, it will take around 10 minutes to list each activity.

*Top time-saving tip* You can list one-off events, or set events and activities to be available on a rolling basis e.g. every week/month. To remain consistently visible to new potential eco-conscious diver without spending additional time adding new activities, consider offering your event on a rolling basis.

Wait for Approval

The team will be notified that you have submitted a new event or activity for approval, and will review and publish your activity within a couple of days. If there is an issue with your event or activity, you will be contacted to make adjustments before publishing. The main reasons that this occurs is due to events not being conservation related (e.g. a standard PADI Open Water Course) or due to missing information.

Promote Your Event or Activity

Once your listing is published, you will be live on the PADI Conservation Activities Locator. To attract more attention, consider posting your event listing on your social media channels, including it in an email to your dive community and sharing it on the PADI Torchbearer Facebook Hub.

Share Your Success!

On the day or your event, aim to take great photos or video that captures the spirit of your event. Not only can you use these pictures in future listings, but PADI and PADI AWARE love to raise the profile of PADI Dive Centers, Resorts & Professionals taking action to save the ocean.
