2023 NC Wreck-Shark Shootout Announced

The 2023 North Carolina Wreck-Shark Shootout is being held at Olympus Dive Center in Morehead City, NC from 30 May to 3 June 2023. The Shootout offers numerous for the wining image and video entries.

After a two year hiatus the North Carolina Wreck•Shark Shootout at Olympus Dive Center hosted by Mike Gerken ran again this past June and with great success.

So much so that the event will be back next year starting May 30 and ending June 3, 2023. Every year enthusiastic divers and photographers journey from all over the US and the world to share a love of diving, underwater photography, wrecks and sharks. Enter photos and videos into the competition and vie for over $20,000 in prizes. The NC Coast is famous for their numerous shipwrecks that are home to the prolific sand tiger shark; the primary subject for the shootout.
