Consumers today prioritize convenience and prefer quick, efficient browsing over long searches. The newly launched PADI Courses Locator, a feature within the Dive Shop Locator (DSL), provides a streamlined way to connect both beginners and certified divers with courses that suit their needs. Its comprehensive filtering system enables users to quickly locate the right training options based on experience level, location, course type, price, duration and language, simplifying the search process.
With this powerful PADI Ecosystem tool, your courses are listed in the world’s largest diving directory, putting your dive center at the fingertips of divers and non-divers. Here’s how the Courses Locator works and how you can receive direct bookings from there.
Why is the PADI Courses Locator Useful For Customers
The Courses Locator is intuitive, straightforward, and designed to simplify the diving course search.
Default View for New Divers
When users first land on the page, they see the full PADI Open Water Diver courses, PADI Open Water Diver Referral Part 1 (Theory and Pool) & Part 2 (Open Water Dives) and PADI Scuba Diver courses located nearby, based on IP location. This setup is great for capturing the interest of first-time divers.
Easy Browsing With Filters
Customers can filter by location, course type, experience level, duration, language, price, date range, and whether a course is bookable online or offers eLearning options.
A filter set to ‘Bookable Online’ means the user will be presented with classes that have been listed on PADI Adventures, while ‘Instant Confirmation’ highlights courses on Adventure that you have set on “free sale” within a specific lead time and that may be confirmed automatically. This is the preferred scenario for online bookers, who are used to getting their purchase confirmed immediately.
Providing frequent start dates is essential, as it boosts booking flexibility and ensures customers have a wide range of options to fit their schedules. With the PADI Adventures Extranet, you can easily control your course availability and ensure your offerings stay competitive and convenient for customers, even those looking to book last minute.
Direct Contact Options for Inquiries
For courses that have not been listed on PADI Adventures and/or that are not available as eLearning, the default “Contact Shop” option displays a form, allowing customers to send a direct inquiry to your shop. This may sound cool; however, it is important to consider that modern consumers prefer to shorten their booking journey and want to book online without having to engage in long email threads.
Map Feature for Easy Navigation
The Courses Locator’s map interface displays dive centers with colored pins – red for full, bookable courses and blue for eLearning-only material. Users can simply click on a pin to view details like dive center name, location, membership level, languages spoken, and business hours, making it crucial to keep your DSL profile accurate and informative.
Importantly, search results prioritize full course options over eLearning, following the standard DSL ranking rules. This means that if you’re the only dive shop in your area offering bookable PADI Adventure courses, you’ll be in the prime position to capture those customers. It also means that if you do not list your Courses on Adventures and others in your area do, consumers are much more likely to book with another shop versus yours. For dive centers with bookable listings on PADI Adventures, customers can seamlessly complete their booking from the map view in just three clicks.
Localized and Multilingual Support
To reach an international audience, the PADI Courses Locator offers a user-friendly experience translated into several languages, including French, German, Italian, Spanish, Japanese, Korean, and Chinese. This automatic translation feature makes it easier for non-English speakers to discover and book your courses seamlessly with no action required on your end.
How To Get Your Courses Bookable on the PADI Courses Locator
No extra effort is required, if you have already listed your courses on PADI Adventures. They will automatically appear in the new Courses Locator as red pins on the map.
In case you haven’t completed your DSL profile, just add your courses as bookable products via your PADI Extranet. If you need assistance, do not hesitate to get in touch with the PADI Adventures team to receive 1:1 business support in multiple languages.
As a PADI Center, your dive shop is automatically listed in both the Dive Shop Locator and Courses Locator. However, to maximize your visibility and increase bookings, actively managing your DSL profile and making the most of PADI Adventures will strengthen your presence within the PADI Ecosystem and help drive more business to your dive center.
List your courses and activities on PADI Adventures and contribute to the PADI Dive Guides, the Dive Site Locator and the Conservation Activities Locator to attract divers and potential divers by showing that as a PADI RRA Member, YOU are the authority for “all things diving” in your area.
Make sure your dive center is easy to find and even easier to book!
