Egyptian scuba diver Saddam Al-Kilany has claimed the longest saltwater dive world record, reportedly staying under water for an epic 145 hours, breaking the previous record of 142 hours and 42 minutes set by Turkish diver Cem Karabay in 2016.
The record is awaiting confirmation and verification from Guinness World Records.
According to his Facebook page, the aim was to achieve 150 hours and began on 5th November. His previous attempt 3 years ago lasted 101 hours and 20 minutes.
